But it is not cool to try to say what Twitter will do. And if that means losing advertising dollars, we lose it. But freedom of speech is paramount."
The concept of marketing isn’t a bad thing in general but the way corporations use marketing to manipulate and dumb down the public is of great concern. Elon is single-handedly changing how the world works by elevating individual voices so they are as powerful as any corporation or pundit. It remains to be seen whether Yaccarino is a good fit as Twitter CEO. Elon hired someone who will bring him advertisers but will she also re-create the elite kids club who determine whether what you say was acceptable or not?
It is beyond me why anyone is concerned about Elon (or everyone else for that matters) tweets and when he tweets. And why advertisers are scared to advertise on Twitter. Unless it is political coercion from government?
It's the latter. It's a political alliance between career politicians and their social/news media allies. Together, they control the default narratives of society by controlling the default media that most people consume. Elon is jeopardizing their agenda and getting in their way. So they push these fake narratives about "hate speech" and "concern about his tweets". At this point, muzzling Elon is their primary goal.
